Villa Stella is a recently renovated, old-fashioned wood cottage with a surface area of 65 sqm, close to the center of Borgholm.
Unlike ordinary tourist cottages, Villa Stella is located in a green garden in a residential area. Here you can relax, enjoy the peace and quiet, and avoid the closeness of other tourist cottages and tourists. All comforts and necessities are available within walking distance. The cottage has an independent gate to the street (Sandgatan).
You can rent this cottage by the week (starting on a Saturday after 15:00 and ending the following Saturday before 10:00 am), or by the day (check-in after 15:00 PM and check-out before 10:00 AM the following day).
September 21 to 27, December 19, 2020 to January 2, 2021: SEK 9,000/week, or 1,500/day.
August 1 to September 20: SEK 7,000/week, or 1,200/day.

On the property, in addition to Villa Stella, there is a renovated 100 year old Öland villa, where the landlord lives. There are no other tourist cottages on the property, or in the immediate neighborhood. The property is in a residential area and surrounded by single-family detached homes with gardens.
A porch under the cover of a plastic roof, with a surface of over 14 sqm and equipped with garden furniture, is available to the tenants just a few yards from the cottage, and is sheltered from rain and direct sunlight. Plenty of space in the sunlight is available in the garden.
Free car parking is available along Sandgatan. Please note that parking is only allowed on the side of the street opposite the gate to Villa Stella. Traffic along Sandgatan is light and slow.

The cottage consists of kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and a loft under the roof. In the loft, it is possible to stand up only along the center of the room. The bedroom has a door for more privacy, but there are no doors between kitchen, living room and loft. However, the loft is largely out of view from the living room.
Please note that the cottage is not handicap-accessible. In addition, the stairs to the loft are steep, and not recommended for people with restricted mobility or impaired balance.
Smoking is not allowed on the premises, neither indoors nor outdoors in the garden and on the porch. Smoking is possible outside the premises on the sidewalk of Sandgatan.
Pets are not allowed.
If some among you are strongly allergic to fur animals or birds, we cannot guarantee an allergy-free environment:
We have a small dog that spends some time daily in the garden. It is very friendly to everybody except cats. Neighbors' cats may also visit the garden. Wild birds land on the garden grass and trees every day. Sometimes a small group of deer visit the neighbors' gardens, and a few times a year our garden as well, usually at night.
At most 6 persons may spend the nights in Villa Stella, including children.
We are pleased to rent out the cottage to families or groups of adults, with or without children. However, we do not rent to young people (25 years old or younger). Children, teenagers and young adults are not allowed to live in the cottage without the supervision of older adults.
It is not allowed to rent the cottage for the exclusive use of other people. We rent out only to individuals, not to companies or organizations. The person who rents the cottage and signs the contract must occupy the cottage the whole length of the rent, and is economically responsible for any damage to the property caused by other family or group members, or their guests.
Tenants are not allowed to sublet the cottage, or sleeping places in the cottage.
We may ask for references before confirming a booking.
We pride ourselves for providing a quiet and peaceful setting to our tenants. Since the cottage is surrounded by permanently occupied family homes, the tenants are also expected to behave in a quiet and peaceful manner, especially at night. Both landlord and neighbors have the cottage continuously under their sight, and will summon the police at the first sign of drunken parties, disturbances, anti-social behavior or wilful damage to property. This type of contract violation results in all tenants having to immediately vacate the property with no right to a refund for the unsused time, and may result in legal prosecution for damages.
